Rules for buyers on Yoomoto platform
Who Can Buy
- Buyers must be verified individuals
- Identity and payment verification are required
- Participation means acceptance of Yoomoto rules
Buyer Deposit (Mandatory)
To bid or use "Buy Now", a buyer must place a refundable buyer deposit.
The deposit:
- Confirms buyer seriousness
- Unlocks bidding and buying features
- Is held securely by Yoomoto
Without a deposit, bidding and buying are not allowed.
Bidding & Buying
- All bids are binding
- "Buy Now" purchases are final
- Bidding or buying confirms full commitment to complete payment
No test bids. No price fishing.
Buyer Commitment & Penalties
If a buyer:
- Wins a bid and fails to pay
- Uses "Buy Now" and does not complete the purchase
- Wastes the seller's time
Then:
- The buyer deposit is forfeited
- Compensation is paid to the seller
- Buyer account may be suspended or banned
Buyer Protection & Compensation
If a seller:
- Fails to deliver the car
- Refuses to honor the winning bid
- Delays unreasonably or disappears
Then:
- Buyer receives a full refund
- Buyer receives additional compensation
- Seller is penalized or banned
Payments & Escrow
- Buyer funds are held by Yoomoto
- Funds are released only after delivery conditions are met
- Off-platform payments are not allowed
Buyer Conduct
- No harassment
- No renegotiation after winning
- No off-platform deals
Violations lead to account restrictions or removal.
FINAL BUYER PRINCIPLE
If you bid, you are ready.
If you win, you pay.
If you are wronged, you are protected.
Yoomoto enforces fairness — not excuses.
Seller Rules (Yoomoto)
Rules for individual sellers on Yoomoto
Who Can Sell
- Sellers must be verified individuals
- Registered businesses and dealers are not allowed
- Listing a car confirms you are the rightful owner or legally authorized to sell it
Seller Verification (Mandatory)
Every seller must choose one of the following before listing a car:
Option A: Yoomoto Verified (Physical Check)
- One-time 100 GHS verification fee
- Seller brings the car to a Yoomoto check location or approved partner
- Vehicle and seller identity are physically verified
- ✓No seller bond required
Option B: Remote Listing with Seller Bond
- ✓No verification fee
- Seller must place a refundable seller bond equal to 1% of the listed price
- Seller completes remote verification and document upload
Listing Requirements
All sellers must:
- Provide accurate vehicle information
- Upload clear, current photos
- Ensure the car is available for sale
- Keep contact details active and reachable
False or misleading listings are not allowed.
Seller Commitment (Binding)
When you:
- List a car
- Allow bidding to start
- Accept bids or "Buy Now"
You are fully committed to sell under the listed terms.
No price changes. No withdrawal after bidding begins.
Seller Accountability & Penalties
If a seller:
- Withdraws a car after bidding starts
- Refuses to honor a winning bid
- Fails to deliver the car
- Disappears or delays unreasonably
- Attempts renegotiation after auction close
Then:
- Seller bond is forfeited (if applicable)
- Buyer receives compensation
- Seller account may be suspended or permanently banned
Seller Protection & Compensation
If a buyer:
- Wins a bid or buys and fails to pay
- Wastes the seller's time
- Violates Yoomoto rules
Then:
- Seller receives compensation from the buyer's deposit
- Buyer is penalized or banned
Payments & Escrow
- Buyer payments are held by Yoomoto
- Seller receives funds only after:
- Ownership transfer confirmation
- Vehicle handover completion
- Off-platform transactions are prohibited
Seller Conduct
- No off-platform deals
- No fake documents or photos
- No harassment or manipulation
Violations result in immediate removal.
FINAL SELLER PRINCIPLE
If you list, you are ready to sell.
If you accept bids, you must deliver.
If someone wastes your time, you are compensated.
Yoomoto enforces fairness — not excuses.
YOOMOTO – SELLER RULES & REGULATIONS
(Individuals Only)
PLATFORM SCOPE
- Yoomoto currently allows individual sellers only
- Registered businesses and car dealers are not permitted
- Business listings will require a separate license and onboarding process in the future
WHO CAN SELL ON YOOMOTO
To list a car, a seller must:
- Be an individual (not a company)
- Hold a valid Ghana Card
- Complete Yoomoto identity verification
- Choose one approved listing method
SELLER LISTING METHODS
Each seller must select ONE of the options below before listing a car.
OPTION A: YOOMOTO VERIFIED (PHYSICAL CHECK)
Verification Fee: 100 GHS (non-refundable)
Seller Bond: Not required
Requirements:
- Ghana Card verification
- Live selfie or short verification video
- Physical vehicle check at a Yoomoto check location or approved partner
- Verification of:
- Vehicle presence
- VIN / chassis number
- Number plate
- Seller identity match
Result:
- Seller status: Yoomoto Verified
- Listing status: Verified
- Listing goes live after approval
- No seller bond required
OPTION B: REMOTE LISTING WITH SELLER BOND
Verification Fee: None
Seller Bond: Required (refundable)
Bond Amount (1% Rule):
- Seller bond is 1% of the vehicle's listed price
- Bond is calculated automatically by the system
- Minimum and maximum limits may be applied by Yoomoto
Examples:
Car listed at
50,000 GHS
→ Bond: 500 GHS
Car listed at
100,000 GHS
→ Bond: 1,000 GHS
Car listed at
200,000 GHS
→ Bond: 2,100 GHS
Requirements:
- Ghana Card verification
- Live selfie or short verification video
- Upload clear vehicle photos:
- Front, back, interior, engine bay
- VIN / chassis number
- Number plate
- Upload one live photo with Yoomoto-generated verification code
- Pay the calculated seller bond
Result:
- Seller status: Bonded Seller
- Listing status: Bonded
- Listing goes live only after bond payment
SELLER BOND RULES (OPTION B ONLY)
Nature of the bond:
- The bond is a refundable commitment deposit
- It is not a fee
- Held securely by Yoomoto until transaction completion
Bond refund:
The bond is refunded when:
- The auction ends successfully
- The seller honors the winning bid
- Ownership transfer and vehicle handover are completed
Bond forfeiture:
The bond is forfeited if the seller:
- Withdraws the car after bidding has started
- Refuses to honor the winning bid
- Attempts renegotiation after auction close
- Becomes unreachable or delays handover
- Provides false or misleading information
Additional actions:
- Seller account may be suspended or permanently banned
- Repeat offenders are permanently blocked
AUCTION FINALITY
- All winning bids are final and binding
- No cancellations or renegotiations after auction close
- Listing a car means acceptance of these rules
PAYMENTS & CONTROL
- Buyer payments are made to Yoomoto escrow
- Seller payments are released only after:
- Ownership transfer confirmation
- Vehicle handover completion
PLATFORM AUTHORITY
- Yoomoto may suspend listings under review
- Verification and dispute decisions are final
- Rules may be updated as needed
